    A few years ago Gergely’s nephew also joined the family business and began breeding mangalica pigs and processing meat. (’mangalitsa’ – a Hungarian breed with thick, curly fur, with tasty meat). His younger sister, whose scrumptious donuts were highly praised even by their grandmother, chose to work in catering. Taking advantage on the potential of the family estate and its assets, the Istvándy-model was created to cater for those that look for sophisticated gastronomical delights as well as quality wines

    We work with grapes harvested when they are fully ripe, that makes our wines full-bodied. Its fills your taste buds without the domination of the stronger and sharper acids, which are, of course, present, but do not determine the general taste.

    They are not lean, slim, streamlined or angular wines. A few extra grams of sugar can remain because we harvest at a high °Bx (degree Brix, refers to the sugar content of a solution), and the wine does not turn completely dry during fermentation.
